About Melissa Kabadian, MA, CMP

Melissa is a valued strategic partner to her clients. With over 24 years of association management experience specializing in operations, meetings, education and development. She brings strong leadership and credibility to any project she is involved in.

Prior to starting her own business and joining Conference Direct in 2019. She started her career in Chicago working with several healthcare associations over the course of 20 years beginning with the American Association of Diabetes Educators in the continuing education department, she then went on to hold various positions within the Society for Vascular Surgery, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society and the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). During her 12-year tenure with the ACP as Associate Executive Director of Education, Meetings and Development she was responsible for all education and meetings related activities to include the financial management of their annual conference and overseeing sponsorship development activities for their foundation.

She maintains the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Events Industry Council and is an active member of Wisconsin Society of Association Executives serving on the Editorial Council.

Melissa is a graduate of both Fitchburg State University and Boston College with BS/MA degrees in Psychology. Melissa currently lives in Kenosha, WI (conveniently located 50 miles north of Chicago).
